Our new tortoise
Category: pets
We got a leopard tortoise so Basra could have a valentine buddy. I want to call him valentino in honor valentines day but the other two dads arn't sure yet. The other possible name is fallujah.

He is so cute. He is so tiny that he is not much bigger than my thumbnail.

I also popped into compusa and found out the difference bwteen the sony s360 and the S360P. The P just comes with windows XP professional. I even got the guy to let me pick it up.

A new class site
Category: school
I added Stephanie Rothernbergs's Art 422 class to the list of classes with a course site running off the estrip engine. I like the new theme. I need to make a whole bunch of themes so I have some to spare. Maybe after talking to the students tomorrow, we can break the 200 epeep barrier again.

I seriously cannot believe the amount of work I did today. I wish I had a mini-laptop so bad so that I could at least tour around while working. I want the sony S360P so bad. They have it here for only $1699.00. I really don't understand laptop pricing. How is it that that same computer retails for over $2000 in other places.

What a Advertising Day
So I finished up working on my instrument and went straight into coding some advertisement stuff for (e:twisted). Bascially I haven't left this clunky laptop for like 24 hours again. This is how I got "sick last tmie It's about time I got a feather light one tahat I could dance around with. One like these S series vaios Dept=cpu_VAIONotebookComputers

Those advertisements are just the fake demo ones I made. The advertising module has these rotating advertisments sorted by category, with click-thorugh statistics, views statistics, auto-scaling images, and pop up title data. It is pretty high tech, I have to say. It is so super easy to update advertisments and ad new ones with this super easy to use interface.

No fear, you will never see advertisments on elmwoodstrip.com. I would rather cut my arms off. Well, maybe you might see ads for local bands on the radio jorunal, if I ever get a disc jockey that is interested in maintaing that journal.

I kind of wish that stephanie would contact me so that I know what is up for tomorrow. I am totally ready to talk about the site but i don't even know what time. I guess I will just go over to UB at 12 and see what happens. Hpoefully, that isn't too late!!

Drums
I added a little photoresitor mini drum to my instrument. Photoresitors are so fun, now I finally understand why the sidekick backlight goes on in the dark.

More pics from the instrument
It basically lights up leds and plays a random series of frequencie sif the potentiometer reading is zero. When the freq is divisable by 54 with no remainder it plays SOS, if you twist the potentiometer it leaves the programmed tune and plays your frequency and turn the red LED to solid and the green flickers with the pattern.

Now to build a circuit board for it.
